Family FAQ

You asked:

I seem to get lost when searching the Internet. How can I conduct streamlined searches and get the information I want faster?

The Online Family answers:

Search engines are continually improving to increase the accuracy of search results, but in the meantime, do pay attention to the keywords you're submitting. Be as specific as possible. For example, type in "4-star restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia" versus "restaurants in Georgia." Also, put essential words or phrases in quotes. Most sites offer an Advanced Search option, too.

Tech Tip

Add Memory

If your two- to three-year-old computer is sluggish, instead of getting a new model, you might just need to add more memory. You can do this yourself -- see your computer maker's web site for instructions about where to install additional memory once you purchase it.
